The Essential Period Kit

You do not always get signs that your menses are coming. Getting your period when you’re away from home need not be unpleasant or a hassle when you are well-prepared. Here’s what every girl’s period kit should have:

A small pouch

Keep your period essentials in a small pouch that fits easily into your handbag or satchel.

SanitaryWear

Pack your favorite sanitary wear, into your carrier. I recommend having at least three pads, tampons, or a menstrual cup depending on your preferences.

Underwear

Keep spare underwear for your period. This is very important if you have a leak and need to change.

Tissue Paper/Wipes

Make sure your kit always has one or two packets of tissues. If possible, include a small packet of wipes. These are great for freshening.

Small Plastic Bag/Thick Paper

Include a small plastic bag for disposal of sanitary pads or to place your used reusable pads in to prevent leakages or smells.

Alcohol/Hand Sanitizer

Keep clean and hygienic with hand sanitizer. This is useful especially when the bathroom is out of soap or water!

Pain Medication

Always be prepared with some pain-relief medication such as paracetamol, ibuprofen, or any pain-relief medication that your doctor prescribed to you.

Keep yourself clean and comfortable during your period with a handy pouch filled with your essentials.
