Zimbabwean corporates have taken great strides to partner for good during the current Global Pandemic. One leading initiative is the Industry Against Period Poverty programme launched by the Kunashe Foundation Trust. This programme has seen Ministries, local government and corporates rally together to ensure that different aspects of women’s development are addressed. As part of this initiative, Steward Bank, the nation's biggest bank by depositors, in partnership with Kunashe Foundation has already assisted over 1000 girls and women across Zimbabwe to access safe sanitary wear as well as to receive life changing information on financial literacy and related vocational training. As a result, women and girls are able to complete their education, avoid child marriage, have better health outcomes and have opportunities to engage in various forms of productive economic activity.

Both projects are sponsored by Steward Bank.
Corporate engagement in the form of sustainable corporate social responsibility has a massive role to play in sustainable development outcomes across the nation. Through underlying principles of Ubuntu, oneness and reciprocity, Zimbabwean communities stand to gain through programmes such as those run by the Kunashe Foundation Trust.
